Kano adopts digital printing technology for Triumph newspaper

In compliance with modern technology for printing purposes, the Kano State government has promised to adopt cutting-edge digital printing technology for the publication of the just revived Triumph newspapers and other state printing activities.

This was disclosed by Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje during a keynote address at the 5th Digital Print Solution Expo, organised by SkySat Technologies at Bristol Hotel, Kano. According to him,

“We understand that the just bounced back Triumph newspaper company has obsolete equipments.”
Ganduje was represented by the Commissioner for Information, Youth and Culture, Comrade Muhammad Garba, who further noted, “We directed the Managing Director of Triumph Publishing Company and that of Kano Printing Press to urgently liaise with the SkySat Technology along that line. As we are building up 2018 to budget, this programme has come at the most appropriate time. And we are going to make sure that digital equipments are bought from SkySat Technologies.”

“Let me state categorically that this government is committed to supporting both foreign and local companies, whose programmes are geared towards stimulating the economy and getting it back on track again with relevant regulations, policies and infrastructure.”

On the patronage of local print shops, Garba appealed, “Let me at this juncture appeal to members of the business community and government institutions to increase patronage of local print shops and presses, especially those with the cutting-edge digital printing technology because by doing this, they will help to strengthen the printing industry, reduce the burden on scarce foreign exchange, promote direct foreign investment into the country and create jobs for the teeming unemployed Nigerians.”

In his speech, Managing Director of the media company, Mr Izzat Debs, said, “It is my honour and privilege to welcome you all to our 5th Digital Print Solutions Expo, one of many other previous series of exhibitions organised by Skysat Technologies Ltd in conjunction with our partners, Konica Minolta and BROTHER to promote digital print solutions in Nigeria.
