Following a mass shooting near Las Vegas’ Mandalay Bay casino that has reportedly left people dead and thousands injured, McCarran International Airport suspended all flights.

The airport tweeted the following: “UPDATE: Flights in and out of @LASairport have been temporarily halted in response to reported shooting incident on Las Vegas Strip.”
The latest news from the airport is that “Limited flight activity has resumed”. It recommends that those due to fly “monitor flight status with your airline. Expect on going delays.”

This comes after at least one gunman was reported to have opened fire on crowds at a music festival in Las Vegas on Sunday night, discharging hundreds of bullets.

Video online appeared to show the moment the gunfire broke out during a song, stopping the performance and sending the crowd running.

Police say one suspected shooter is "down", and that "at this time we do not believe there are any more shooters"
