Indigenous software provider, Appzone is set to offer Gambia’s biggest financial service institution, Reliance Financial Services, its BankOne fintech solution.

BankOne is a cloud-based suite of pay-per-use software solutions that automate core operations of retail financial institutions and enable delivery of services via electronic and other alternative banking channels.

The software is in over 19 branches in Gambia, and is designed to achieve end-to-end automation of financial institution operations while exposing core services to end customers through multiple alternative channels nationwide including ATM’s, POS terminals, Internet, mobile phones , Commercial Bank branches and independent agents.

The bank said the software will enable it to achieve the goal of providing financial services products and services to the average Gambian especially those at the bottom of the economic pyramid.

Managing Director, Reliance Financial Services, Baboucarr Khan, said: “BankOne stood out to us amongst other core banking applications because of its winning partnership value proposition".

However, he also said, it is more than just banking software in view of the in-built avenues for new business growth opportunities to innovate around existing and/or introduce new products and services for MFB’s across markets, sectors and channels.
