Russia-linked posts reached 126m Facebook users in US

Facebook has said as many as 126 million American users may have seen content uploaded by Russia-based operatives over the last two years.

Most of the posts focused on divisive social and political messages

Facebook released the figures ahead of a Senate hearing where it - together with Twitter and Google - will detail Russia's impact on the popular sites.

Russia has repeatedly denied allegations that it attempted to influence the last US presidential election, in which Donald Trump beat Hillary Clinton.

According to Reuters news agency and Washington Post newspaper, 80,000 posts were published between June 2015 and August 2017.

According to Facebook, they were posted by a Russian company linked to the Kremlin.

NCC aims to checkmate SIM Swap fraud

 Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) on Friday said that the commission has put in place a regulation to checkmate SIM Swap fraud. Ms Helen Obi, Head of Zonal Operations, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Jos. A SIM is a smart card inside a mobile phone, carrying identification number unique to the owner. While SIM Swap is the process of replacing your existing SIM with a new SIM and moving your existing number, data etc. to a new SIM. She said that the new regulation put in place to stop SIM Swap fraud was in the interest of customers. The agreement anticipates that the pick-up service will  purchase the vehicles over the course of three years beginning in 2019. Uber  began testing prototypes made by the carmaker last year in the US.
