 According to report, about three persons are feared dead at Abbatoir area of Agege,  Lagos when a train derailed this morning. Lagos State police spokesman, Olarinde Famous-Cole who confirmed the incident noted that the train rammed into a trailer, injuring many and leaving three of the victims feared dead. “We just got the information. Our policemen and those attached to the railway command are in control of the situation,” Famous- Cole said. “We shall be able to furnish you with details later please.”

Peter Frederiksen was found guilty of 36 offences in the Free State High Court on Monday including producing child pornography, raping a minor and conspiracy to murder, local media reported. Frederiksen, a gun shop owner in his 60s, pleaded not guilty to all charges. He will be sentenced at a later hearing. Twenty charges related to the removal of human tissue were dropped as the court found that the law did not clearly specify what penalties should apply for the alleged crimes. Supected members of the Boko Haram sect yesterday night attacked Bakin Dutse village as they advanced to Gulak administrative headquarters of Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State. The attack, which was ongoing at the time of this report, was confirmed by government officials and security sources.The army could not be reached for comment. When The Guardian contacted Director, Army Public Relations, Brig. Gen. Sani Usman, via a text message in Abuja, he said: “Kindly call Colonel Kayode Ogunsanya, Deputy Director Army Public Relations 3 Division.”Ogunsanya however could not be reached as his phone was switched off as at the time of filing this report.
