Chinese man arrested over US cyber attacks

  Photo credits: REUTERS  A Chinese man has been arrested in the US for allegedly selling malware used to hack into American companies. US authorities claim in court papers that Yu Pingan bought and sold malicious software including the rarely used Sakula program. That malware has been implicated in the 2014 hack attack on the US federal Office of Personnel Management (OPM). Information on a huge number of US workers employed in sensitive or secret work was stolen in that data breach. Software bugs Mr Yu was arrested earlier this week soon after he disembarked from a flight that landed at Los Angeles international airport. He has been charged with breaching computer networks owned by several US firms. Legal papers filed to support the arrest do not explicitly mention the OPM as one of the targets of the suspected attacks. Hurricane Harvey bears down on Texas

Roaring towards land with winds whipping up to 110 miles (175 kilometers) an hour, the category two hurricane is predicted to smash into coastal Texas late Friday or early Saturday as a much more powerful category three storm, forecast to dump up to 35 inches (89 centimeters) of rain.    Part one My name is John. Don't worry about my last name because it doesn't matter in this story. Once upon a time, there was a lady in my Faculty named Faith. She was always aggressive anytime i tried talking to her. I didn't know what i did or perhaps  what the problem was with her. I felt unhappy anytime i set my eyes on her. So one day as i was returning from the library around 8:30pm in the evening, i saw her walking towards me. I felt anger spike out of my heart, so i frowned my face. Hurricane Irma: Storm hits west coast of Florida

More than 3.4 million homes in the state are without power, with parts of the city of Miami are under water. Three storm-related deaths have been reported and several areas have brought in curfews. Irma cut a devastating track across 10 Caribbean countries and territories, killing at least 28 people there. President Donald Trump has approved a major disaster declaration and emergency federal aid for Florida, describing the hurricane as a "big monster". At 06:00 GMT, the centre of the hurricane was about 25 miles (40km) north-east of Tampa, the National Hurricane Center (NHC) said. Some 3m people live in the Tampa Bay area. Many parts of Switzerland, two thirds of which is mountainous, are at risk of avalanches and landslides. Communities in the Alps have been protecting themselves against such natural hazards for years. Before Wednesday's landslide, sensors on the Piz Cenaglo, high above the Bondasca valley, had already shown that the rock mass was moving. That warning triggered the automatic closure of some sections of road. The village of Bondo had a narrow escape. The four million cubic metres (141m cubic feet) of mud and rock which thundered down the mountain ended up just centimetres from people's homes. That wasn't just luck. Thomas Cook relaunch flights to Tunisia - two years after beach terror attack

Flight and holiday packages to the north African destination were then suspended due to the incidence, with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) advising only essential travel to the region. However, Thomas Cook is one of the first providers to reintroduce flights to Tunisia, two years after the attack took place. It is hoped that British tourists will once again travel to the once popular destination. Thomas Cook is to restart the flights on February 13 and have gone on sale today. It is also to offer hotel accommodation near to Hammamet, a beach town in the region. It comes just one month after the government declared the destination as ‘safe’ for British travellers.
