Redington Nigeria Limited, a value-added distributor of iPhone 8 in the country, says the newly introduced iPhone 8, which belongs to “a new generation of iPhone,” will be a game-changer in the hands of its users.

The device is powered by the new A11 Bionic chip, the smartest and most powerful chip ever in a smartphone. Speaking at the official launch of the smartphone in Lagos, Regional Head (West Africa) for Redington’s Telco-Africa business, Sivadoss Vijayakumar, also reiterated the company’s commitment to continue to provide excellent support structure to its partners and by extension, the growing community of loyal Apple customers in the country.

Product Specialist for Africa region Oloyede Odeyale, highlighted the advantages of the product, which also comes with an innovative portrait lighting feature on the larger model – iPhone 8 Plus. This makes it possible to take incredible studio-style portraits without complex lighting equipment.

Chinese man arrested over US cyber attacks

US authorities claim in court papers that Yu Pingan bought and sold malicious software including the rarely used Sakula program. That malware has been implicated in the 2014 hack attack on the US federal Office of Personnel Management (OPM). Information on a huge number of US workers employed in sensitive or secret work was stolen in that data breach. Software bugs Mr Yu was arrested earlier this week soon after he disembarked from a flight that landed at Los Angeles international airport. He has been charged with breaching computer networks owned by several US firms. Amazon revamps Echo smart speaker family

  Amazon has announced new versions of its Echo smart speakers that promise improved sound and voice recognition. The basic model also allows its shell to be changed to give it different looks - a feature already offered by Google's rival Home device.
