A picture of Santa goes viral as Christmas comes early.

On Dec. 9, the big man will head to Hawaii for a visit to the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort. He won’t be arriving by sleigh, but rather in a much more Hawaii-friendly fashion in his own personal canoe.



Guests are invited to cheer Santa on as he makes his way to shore at the resort. According to Outrigger, Santa and his helpers will ride the waves right onto Waikiki Beach where they will be warmly greeted by a keiki hula group.

The firm said huge sales of its new Galaxy S8 smartphone and demand for its memory chips were behind the jump in April-June and predicted another blockbuster report for the current quarter to September. Operating profit soared a forecast-beating 72.9 percent from the previous year to 14.07 trillion won ($12.6 billion), compared with consensus forecasts of $10.6 billion for US titan Apple, which is due to report next week. NCC aims to checkmate SIM Swap fraud

 Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) on Friday said that the commission has put in place a regulation to checkmate SIM Swap fraud. Ms Helen Obi, Head of Zonal Operations, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Jos. A SIM is a smart card inside a mobile phone, carrying identification number unique to the owner. While SIM Swap is the process of replacing your existing SIM with a new SIM and moving your existing number, data etc. to a new SIM. She said that the new regulation put in place to stop SIM Swap fraud was in the interest of customers. The system has been trained to recognize the smell of explosives and could be used to replace traditional airport security, he said. Volvo and Uber struck a deal for 24,000 self-drive cars

The agreement anticipates that the pick-up service will  purchase the vehicles over the course of three years beginning in 2019. Uber  began testing prototypes made by the carmaker last year in the US. One expert said the announcement "makes a good headline" but had doubts that fully autonomous, driverless Uber rides would be ready to begin until some years later. Uber and Volvo have not disclosed financial terms, but have confirmed that the deal is "non-exclusive" - meaning both are free to form similar partnerships with others. Chinese company Geely bought Volvo from Ford in 2010.
